James ’94 and Becky Poer are supporting the Neeley School of Business as this year’s TCU Gives Day Challenge donors. During the 24 hours of TCU Gives Day, every gift – of any amount – moves Neeley closer to its goal of 375 gifts in 24 hours. Once the goal is met, the school will unlock the Poers’ $25,000 challenge gift in support of Neeley AI Forward. 

For the Poers, TCU is a family connection. James is a TCU alumnus, their son Austin ’25 is a Neeley graduate, and their son Jacob is a current TCU student majoring in economics and connecting the business and liberal arts worlds. 

Through their support of Neeley AI Forward, the Poers are helping advance the school’s holistic approach to preparing students, faculty and the broader Neeley community for a future shaped by artificial intelligence.

Geraldine Dominiak Endowed Accounting Excellence Award Challenge

TCU alums David '74 and Jeannie Dickson of Waco have generously pledged $10,000 if 15 donors give to support permanently endowing the Accounting Department’s annual student award. Named in memory of one of David’s mentors, Dr. Geraldine F. Dominiak served as Professor of Accounting and Department Chair for nearly 30 years. Once established with your support, this new permanent endowment will recognize an outstanding student along with a faculty mentor in perpetuity.

The Krause Family has committed a $1,000 challenge gift to inspire support for the Neeley EMBA Program (EXMBA) this TCU Gives Day. Every gift helps strengthen the program and its impact on future business leaders.
