The John V. Roach Honors College needs 150 donors to unlock a $100,000 challenge from the Donaldson family of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

Cheryl and Craig began their TCU journey in 2016 as parents when their son Davis enrolled. Now, 10 years and three boys later, Craig serves on the Roach Honors Board of Visitors, and Cheryl continues to be an active Roach Honors volunteer and booster.

“We are so grateful to the John V. Roach Honors College and excited to continue to partner with the Honors College,” the couple said. “Our three boys, Davis, Peter and Jackson, flourished at TCU and in large part because of Roach Honors. As parents, we couldn’t be more thankful to the John V. Roach Honors College and their investment in what is most precious to us: our boys.”

As alumni, Davis ’20 (Honors Laureate, Finance), Peter ’22 (Honors Laureate, Interdisciplinary Inquiry) and Jackson ’24 (Honors Laureate, Marketing) all participate in TCU Gives Day.

Cheryl and Craig also know that family philanthropy is an important part of the success of the John V. Roach Honors College, as a growing, majority young-alum college.

Alumni, parents of alumni and parents of current students can all play an important part in ensuring Roach Honors is able to offer our highly-motivated students the resources they need to unlock potential, cultivate purpose and transform the future.
